Description |
King George and Queen Mary are seated in the royal barge as it moors at Victoria Wharf, Kingstown (Dún Laoghaire), County Dublin on 8th July, 1911. The crew are holding their oars aloft as two sailors at the front of the barge manoeuvre it towards the landing stage. The coronation royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary took place from 8-12 July 1911, and was the last visit by a reigning monarch to Ireland before independence in 1922. |
