King George V and Queen Mary in their carriage during their visit to Dublin in July 1911. A caption on the picture reads 'THE KING & QUEEN - The King is pressing an electric button which opens the door of the P.F. COLLIER MEMORIAL DISPENSARY.' King George declared the PF Collier Memorial Dispensary open on 11th July 1911. The coronation royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary took place from 8-12 July 1911, and was the last visit to Ireland by a reigning monarch before independence in 1922. |
