Queen Mary takes leave of a robed clergyman, possibly the Dean, at the West gate of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, on 9th July, 1911. King George V can be seen in the background with Princess Mary and a group of dignitaries. The coronation royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary took place from 8-12 July 1911, and was the last visit by a reigning monarch to Ireland before independence in 1922. |
