Description |
The funeral procession of Kevin O'Higgins, Dublin,11 July 1927. William T Cosgrave, President of the Executive Council (Prime Minister) of the Irish Free State (centre wearing top hat) and Governor General Tim Healy (with white beard) is on the left. Free State Soldiers line the way to tje right of shot. O'Higgins was appointed Minister for Justice and external affairs after the foundation of the Free State. He was also Vice-President of the Executive Council. O'Higgins was shot dead on 10 July 1927. |
