Description   Group shot of (from left to right) balance control man Gerry Fitzgerald, broadcaster Henry Kelly (centre), and producer Howard Kinlay in a radio studio, probably recording a segment for the late night radio discussion programme 'Later than Late' in November 1968. This programme, presented by Bunny Carr, was intended to react to controversial issues discussed earlier in the night on television's 'Late Late Show'. Two panels of guests participated in the show, one in Cork the other in Dublin. The show also took calls from listeners.

Henry Kelly had recorded an interview with Scottish poet Hugh MacDiarmid which was broadcast in November 1968 and this is possibly what the three men in this shot are working on. A reel-to-reel tape machine is to the foreground, Kinlay is bent over it noting something down on a file or folder he is holding in his hand. Fitzgerald is standing beside the control desk adjusting a switch, while Kelly looks on. A window in the background shows three people sitting in the studio behind. A second reel-to-reel tape machine is under this window, while above it to the left is a clock. In the right background an unidentified woman is sitting behind a desk or some other piece of recording equipment.
