Producer/director Brian MacLochlainn during the filming of the RTÉ Television drama 'A Week in the Life of Martin Cluxton', broadcast on 9 December 1971. This award winning television documentary drama concerned the fate of a young man who returns home after spending two and a half years in a reformatory. It was filmed on location around Dublin. The actor who played the lead role in this production, Derek King, is on the right. The RTÉ Guide of 3 December 1971 published an article about the programme. In addition to a Jacob's award this drama won three prizes in the features category at the Prague International Television Festival (1972). In addition to producing and directing it MacLochlainn co-wrote it with Caoimhín Ó Marcaigh. |
