Politician and broadcaster Justin Keating presenting 'Telefís Feirme' in 1965. The studio backdrop, depicting a photograph of some fields and the programme logo, can be seen in the background. Justin Keating was head of agricultural programmes at RTÉ (1965-67) before entering the Dáil as a Labour TD in 1969. He was appointed Minister of Industry and Commerce in the 1973-77 Fine Gael-Labour coalition but lost his seat in 1977. 'Telefís Feirme' was launched by RTÉ in 1965. A two-page feature on it appeared in the RTV Guide of 8 October 1965. |
