| Description | A shot of one of puppeteer Eugene Lambert's puppets, 'Finnegan', in 1962. The puppet is dressed in a suit and tie and is wearing headphones. Lambert is partly visible on the right. Lambert was presenting a Radio Eireann programme 'Finnegan Again', in which Finnegan "picked the pops" at the time this shot was taken. A short feature on the programme appeared in the RTV Guide of 17 August 1962. Lambert was one of the founders of the family owned Lambert Puppet Theatre, and is best known for his role as O'Brien in the popular RTE television children's programme 'Wanderly Wagon'. | |
