A scene from television characters Biddy and Miley's wedding day, during the filming of the RTÉ Television drama series 'Glenroe' in October 1985. Several cast members are posing for a photograph outside the church. From left to right, Barry Lynch as Matt Moran, Mick Lallly as Miley Byrne, Mary McEvoy as Biddy Byrne, Fay Howard as Carol McDermott, Isobel Mahon as Michelle (both dressed as bridesmaids), unknown, and Geraldine Plunkett as Mary McDermott-Moran. 'Glenroe' was a rural soap which ran from 1983-2001. This episode was broadcast on 9 February 1986 - it was filmed in Ashford and Kilcoole, County Wicklow. |
