Irish model Ann Davis posing during an RTÉ Guide shoot to publicise the 'Eurofashion '68' contest, in RTÉ Television's Studio 1 in January/early February 1968. She is wearing a mini-dress with embroidery along the sleeves and neck of it. 'Eurofashion' was a competition to select the young Irish designer of the year, who then went on to represent Ireland at the European finals which were held in London on 21 March 1968. RTÉ Television broadcast the Irish final of the competition on 13 February 1968, but it is unclear whether or not it was live. An article on the 1968 contest appeared in the RTÉ Guide of 9 February 1968; a still from this shoot was used to illustrate that article. |
