Youth counsellor Angela McNamara on the set of the RTÉ Television religious affairs programme 'The Question Is', during filming in Studio 2 in June 1972. 'The Question Is' comprised a panel discussion on social affairs, based on questions submitted by the general public via letter. The first programme in the series was broadcast on 20 June 1972. Programme presenter Sean Egan wrote an article about the show in the RTÉ Guide of 2 June 1972, in which he invited readers to submit letters. Angela McNamara wrote a counselling column on sexual matters for 'The Sunday Press' newspaper between 1962 and 1980. She also visited schools throughout Ireland giving talks on marriage preparation and sexuality. |
