Description |
Irish actor Noel Purcell on the set of RTÉ Television's 'Peg O' My Heart', during recording in Studio 1 in April 1974. He is wearing glasses. 'Peg O' My Heart' was an eight-part light entertainment television series, featuring pianist and singer Peggy Dell and various guests from her days at Dublin's Theatre Royal. Noel Purcell was one of the guests on the first show, broadcast on 8 November 1974. An RTÉ Guide article about the series was published on 1 November 1974. Noel Purcell was a well-known figure on the Dublin stage and also appeared in several feature films including 'Moby Dick' (1956) and 'Mutiny on the Bounty' (1962). He was given the freedom of Dublin city in 1984. |
