A wedding reception scene from the RTÉ Television production of Donagh MacDonagh's short story 'All the Sweet Buttermilk', during location filming in Roundstone, County Galway on 21 October 1968. The couple cutting the cake are Des Keogh as Guard Duggan and Sinéad Cusack as Maeve Lynch. This play was broadcast on 14 March 1969 as part of the 'Stories of Ireland' series. The accompanying RTÉ Guide article was published on 7 March 1969. 'Stories of Ireland' was a series of dramatisations of short stories by well-known Irish writers. |
