Séamus Creagh on fiddle and Jackie Daly on accordion, play on board a barge moored in the village of Clondra, County Longford, during the recording of RTÉ Television's 'A Job of Journeywork' in August 1977. The Royal Canal joins the River Shannon at Clondra. This series was recorded in different locations - Clondra featured in the first four episodes. The first programme in the series was broadcast on 26 March 1978; an RTÉ Guide preview was published on 24 March 1978. |
