A small group of Sinn Féin party members protest against the RTÉ People in Need Telethon, just outside the RTÉ grounds at Donnybrook on 4 May 1990. They were objecting on behalf of the unemployed.
Generally held every two years, the Telethon is a charity fund-raiser. The 1990 Telethon raised around £3 million for the People in Need charity. The RTÉ Guide published a preview on 27 April 1990, while RTÉ's staff magazine 'Access' published a report on the aftermath on 17 May 1990.
