An RTÉ crew filming from the roof of a camera van, during the Enniscorthy Fleadh Ceoil in County Wexford in May 1967. They are passing by Bennetts' Hotel. Seán Ó Mórdha, one of the programme's producers, is first left beside cameraman Will Warham. RTÉ Television broadcast a programme about the Enniscorthy Fleadh Ceoil, 'In the Merry Month of May', on 4 October 1967. It concentrated mainly on the visitors attending this festival of traditional Irish music. A brief article on the programme was published in the RTÉ Guide of 29 September 1967. 'In the Merry Month of May' was RTÉ's entry for the 1967 Golden Harp competition. |
