RTÉ producer/director Gerry Gregg (left) directs a worker in Tool & Gauge precision toolmakers in Tubercurry, County Sligo, during the filming of RTÉ Television's 'A Future in Mind' in June 1980. 'A Future in Mind' was an eight-part series in which young people employed in the growth areas of Irish industry talked about their work. Tool & Gauge featured in the programme broadcast on 18 November 1980, which focused on jobs in the engineering industry. The RTÉ Guide previewed the entire series on 10 October 1980. |
