Broadcasters Olivia O'Leary (left) and John Bowman with producer Betty Purcell, pose by a cake marking ten years of RTÉ Television's current affairs programme 'Questions and Answers', at a celebration lunch in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin city, in November 1996. Olivia O'Leary was the programme's first presenter, while John Bowman took over on 9 October 1988. Betty Purcell was the programme editor at the time this picture was taken. The RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' published a report on this event in its issue of 28 November 1996. 'Questions and Answers' was a live, panel-based discussion programme, in which the studio audience posed the questions. It ran from 1986-2009. |
