An exterior view of Listowel Printing Works in Listowel, County Kerry, in June 1980. An unidentified young girl is standing on the left of shot. This shot was taken during the filming of RTÉ Television's 'A Future in Mind', an eight-part series in which young people employed in the growth areas of Irish industry talked about their work. Kerry Co-op's (later Kerry Group plc) dairy processing plant was based in Listowel and featured in the programme broadcast on 11 November 1980, which focused on jobs in the food industry. The RTÉ Guide previewed the entire series on 10 October 1980. |
