Members of the Teilifís na Gaeilge (TnaG, now TG4) Comhairle or governing body, photographed in the Brandon Hotel in Tralee, County Kerry, during the Celtic Film and Television Festival on 4 April 1998. From left to right; Pádhraic Ó Ciardha, unidentified, unidentified, unidentified, Cathal Goan (first Ceannasaí or Head of Teilifís na Gaeilge), Brian Mac Aongusa (Chairman of Comhairle Teilifís na Gaeilge), unidentified, unidentified and Tom Quinn (Secretary to RTÉ Authority). Teilifís na Gaeilge, Ireland's Irish language television station, was officially launched on 31 October 1996. Articles on the 1998 Celtic Film and Television Festival, held from 1-4 April that year, were published in the RTÉ staff magazine 'Access' on 9 April and 7 May 1998. |
