Description |
An exterior view of Leinster House on Kildare Street, Dublin city, taken for the RTÉ Television current affairs programme 'Today Tonight' in September 1989. Leinster House was designed by Richard Cassels in 1745 for the Earls of Kildare and Leinster. It was acquired by the Royal Dublin Society in the early nineteenth century, and was bought by the Irish Government in 1925. It is now the seat of both houses of the Irish Parliament - Dáil Éireann and the Seanad (Senate). |
