Seán Ó Síocháin, photographed for the RTV (RTÉ) Guide just before his appointment as General Secretary of the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association), in early 1964. He held the position of General Secretary of the GAA from May 1964-1979. Ó Síocháin was presenting the Telefís Éireann (RTÉ Television) series 'Ceolta Gael' at the time this picture was taken. This still was published in the Guide issue of 1 May 1964, on the listings page for programmes broadcast on 6 May 1964. |
