Description |
Broadcaster and journalist Raymond Maxwell, one of the presenters of RTÉ Television's 'Zero', in a programme publicity shot taken at the NÉT plant in Arklow, County Wicklow, in September 1987. NÉT (Nítrigin Éireann Teoranta or Nitrogen Ireland Limited) was a state-owned fertiliser manufacturer; it later became IFI (Irish Fertiliser Industries) before being wound up in 2002. 'Zero' was a magazine-style programme covering developments in science and technology; it ran from 1987 to 1989. |
