An exterior view of the Killarney International Hotel on Kenmare Place, Killarney, County Kerry, in February 1981. The spire of St Mary's Church of Ireland can be seen on the left of shot. This shot was taken for use in the 17th National Song Contest, the competition to select a song to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest, broadcast on RTÉ Television and Radio on 1 March 1981. Photographs of the locations where the juries that selected the winning song were based were displayed on screen during the voting. |
