RTÉ producer Tony Barry directs a scene from the RTÉ Television drama series 'Famine', photographed for the RTÉ Guide during location filming, probably in Ballysmuttan, County Wicklow, in November/December 1972. A boom microphone operator an be seen in the background. 'Famine' was adapted for television by Tom Murphy from his stage play of the same name. It was broadcast in three parts on RTÉ Television from St Patrick's Day 1973. The RTÉ Guide published a series preview on 16 March 1973. |
