Irish comedian Hal Roach performs a magic trick on stage during the filming of an episode in the RTÉ Television series 'That's Entertainment', in Germaine's Pub in Baltinglass, County Wicklow, in May 1971. A young woman from the audience is assisting him. RTÉ producer Tom McGrath is second right between the cameraman and sound operator. 'That's Entertainment' was a five-part series that examined various forms of entertainment popular in Ireland at the time. Hal Roach appeared in the first programme, 'The Comedian', broadcast on 27 April 1972. Stills from this shoot accomapnied an RTÉ Guide preview on 21 April 1972. |
