Some of those involved in the production of the Radio Éireann (RTÉ Radio) programme 'Much A-Doonican', photographed for the RTV (RTÉ) Guide during recording in the station's GPO studios in 1965. From left to right; conductor Colman Pearce, producer Kevin Roche, presenter Gay Byrne and singer Val Doonican. 'Much A-Doonican' was a variety programme featuring Val Doonican performing his most well-known songs and comedy routines. It was broadcast on Radio Éireann on 7 June 1965; the Guide published a preview on 4 June 1965. |
