Description |
Irish actress Fionnula Flanagan receives an award for her role in the Telefís Éireann production of Máiréad Ní Ghráda's play, 'An Triail', at the 1965 Jacob's Television Awards on 8 December 1965. She is receiving the award from Mrs JB Jenkins, wife of the joint managing director of Jacob's. The man on the right is unidentified - he may be theatre critic Gabriel Fallon from the 'Evening Press' newspaper, one of the judges, or possibly former RTÉ Head of Drama Hilton Edwards. The RTV (RTÉ) Guide published a report on these awards on 17 December 1965; they do not appear to have been televised. |
