A view of a barge on the Grand Canal harbour/basin at Long's Place near the Guinness Brewery, Dublin city, in 1952 or 1953. This part of the Grand Canal was used by Guinness to transport materials by barge and was filled in in the 1970s. Nevill Johnson's notes identify this location as Long Street, but this is not listed in Thom's Directory (1952). |
