Caption   Upper Camden Street, Dublin, 1952/1953
Description   'The Bleeding Horse' public house on Upper Camden Street, Dublin. People on bicycles are seen in the foreground. 'The Bleeding Horse' was established in 1649, when, after the Battle of Rathmines, a wounded horse wandered into a tavern. This made such an impression on the owner that he memorialised the event by naming his premises 'The Bleeding Horse'.
