Liam Heffernan with his parents Mary and Tony, photographed for the RTÉ Guide at their home in Keel, County Kerry, in April 2013. Stills from this shoot accompanied a Guide interview with Tony and Mary Heffernan published in the issue of 1-7 June 2013. Liam's sister Saoirse died from the rare and fatal neurological condition Batten's Disease on 18 January 2011. Liam suffered from the same illness and passed away on 4 May 2014. |
