A scene from the RTÉ Television drama series 'Sean' during filming in Studio 1 in February 1980. From left to right; Billy Boyle as Tommie Talton, Jim Culleton as Johnnie (the young Sean O'Casey) and Brendan Conroy as Archie. This scene is from Episode 3, entitled 'Knock at the Door', which was broadcast on 21 December 1980. 'Sean' was a 13-part drama series based on the autobiographies of Irish writer Sean O'Casey. It was devised by Michael Voysey and written by Voysey, Neil Hartnett and Eugene McCabe. The first programme was broadcast on 7 December 1980 as part of 'The Sunday Series'. The RTÉ Guide of 5 December 1980 featured a two-page article on 'Sean'. |
