Irish sean-nós dancer Samantha Harvey performs on stage during the 'Emigration and Renewal' section from the RTÉ Television 'Centenary' concert, at a dress rehearsal in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin, on 27 March 2016. The traditional musicians sitting behind her are, from left to right; Dónal Lunny, John Sheahan, Sharon Shannon (obscured) and Michael McGoldrick. Dancer Emma O'Sullivan can be seen standing first right. 'Centenary' was a special show made to mark the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising; it combined live musical and dramatic performance with footage and images. It was broadcast live on RTÉ Television on 28 March 2016. |
