The view from the Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA), then located at 63 Merrion Square, Dublin city, in September 1992. ITMA moved to 73 Merrion Square in 2006. 63 and 73 Merrion Square are both located on the south side of the square; Merrion Square West runs along the upper right of shot. The National Maternity Hospital at Holles Street and Merrion Square North are just visible in the upper left background. This image was taken for possible use in RTÉ Television's traditional Irish music series 'The Pure Drop'. The first episode in the seventh series was broadcast on 11 October 1992; the RTÉ Guide previewed it on 9 October 1992. |
