Description   King George, Queen Mary, the Prince of Wales and Princess Mary are being rowed in the royal barge to the landing stage at Victoria Wharf, Kingstown (Dún Laoghaire) on 8th July, 1911. The crew's oars are raised. Various craft, including some of the Home Fleet, can be seen in the background.

The coronation royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary took place from 8-12 July 1911, and was the last visit by a reigning monarch to Ireland before independence in 1922.
