Description |
A scene from the RTÉ Television drama series 'Sean' during filming in Studio 1 in July 1980. From left to right; Fiona Victory as Nora (back to camera), Charlie Roberts as Mr Ballynoy (playing harmonica), Pauline Delany as Mrs Ballynoy and Mick Lally as Ayamonn. This scene is probably from the penultimate episode, entitled 'Comrades', which was broadcast on 22 February 1981. 'Sean' was a 13-part drama series based on the autobiographies of Irish writer Sean O'Casey. It was devised by Michael Voysey and written by Voysey, Neil Hartnett and Eugene McCabe. The first programme was broadcast on 7 December 1980 as part of 'The Sunday Series'. The RTÉ Guide of 5 December 1980 featured a two-page article on 'Sean'. |
