Description   British singer/songwriter Chris Rea, at a table in Parkes' Hotel, Stillorgan, County Dublin, during the filming of an interview for RTÉ Television's 'Video File', in September 1984.
'Video File' featured a different artist being interviewed by Marty Whelan each week - some of their videos were also played. This edition of the programme was broadcast on 7 December 1984. Chris Rea was in Dublin to play a concert in the National Stadium; this show was recorded by RTÉ and broadcast on 8 May 1985 as 'Chris Rea - In Concert'.
Chris Rea was born in the north of England to Italian and Irish parents. His best-known songs include 'Fool (If you think it's over)', 'I can hear your heartbeat' and 'The road to hell'.
