Teacher and broadcaster Paddy Crosbie presents the Telefís Éireann (RTÉ Television) programme, 'School Around the Corner', during studio recording in 1962. This still accompanied an RTV (RTÉ) Guide article about the show published on 1 June 1962.
In addition to presenting the show, Paddy Crosbie was the originator and writer of 'School Around the Corner'. The programme was first broadcast by Radio Éireann in 1954, and ran continuously until 1961 when it was transferred to Telefís Éireann (RTÉ Television). The programme continued until 1966 on RTÉ Television before returning to RTÉ Radio for another year. It was again revived on radio in 1973 and ran on RTÉ Television from 1990-1994. An RTÉ Guide article outlining the programme's history was published on 1 June 1973.
