Description   Irish singer Red Hurley performing the winning song at the twelfth National Song Contest, in Studio 1 on 8 February 1976. The National Song Contest selected a song to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest. Red Hurley won the 1976 competition singing Brendan Graham's composition 'When'. He was placed tenth out of eighteen competing countries in that year's Eurovision.
