Lord Killanin, the President of the International Olympic Committee (1972-1980), photographed for the RTÉ Guide in June 1980. The Guide published an interview with him on 18 July 1980. Lord Killanin started his career as a journalist. He was made president of the Irish Olympic Council in 1950 and served on a number of company boards. He was born Michael Morris but became the third Lord Killanin on the death of his uncle in 1927. |
