Tubridy, Ryan (1973 -)
Broadcaster Tyan Tubridy interviews abuse survivor Rosemary Adaser and her foster father Brian Rothery on 'The Late Late Show', 3 March 2017.
At birth Adaser's mother was forced to give her up and she was raised in St Clare's Convent in Stamullen, County Meath. When she was 18 months old Adaser was transferred to a mother-and-baby home on the Navan Road in Dublin. At six years of age she was sent to Saint Joseph's industrial school in Kilkenny where she was abused.
Adaser became pregnant at 16 years old and was sent to Ard Mhuire mother-and-baby home in Meath where her own child was taken away from her. When she was 17 years old Brian Rothery and his wife Mary took Adaser into their home and supported her.
