|Caption||'Mooney' reporters in Women's Mini Marathon publicity shot (2012)|
Three reporters from RTÉ Radio 1's 'Mooney' show, in a shot taken to publicise their participation in the 2012 Flora Women's Mini Marathon, in the RTÉ grounds at Donnybrook, Dublin, on 13 March 2012. From left to right; Jenny Branigan, Brenda Donohue and Katriona McFadden. The three reporters each led a team of 20 women at the 2012 Mini Marathon in order to raise funds for three Irish-based charities.
Derek Mooney put out an on-air call on 13 March 2012 for marathon-registered listeners who were interested in joining 'Team Mooney', to contact the programme to let the team know which of the three charities they would like to run for and why. Three teams of 20 were chosen to run with leaders Brenda Donohue for The Carer's Association, Katriona McFadden for Right to Sight and Jenny Branigan for Our Lady's Hospice Harold's Cross.
Brenda, Katriona and Jenny had met with former Irish Olympian Catherina McKiernan the previous day to assess their fitness levels ahead of the Flora Women's Mini Marathon, which took place on bank holiday Monday, 4 June 2012.
