Description   Republicans Michael Mallin (centre) and Countess Markievicz (second from right) surrender after the Easter Rsing, Dublin 1916. Both republican prisoners are flanked by British soldiers with rifles.
Mallin was commandant of the Irish Citizen Army in St Stephen's Green and Markievicz was the second in command. Mallin was executed on 5 May 1916.
