A scene from the RTÉ Television adaptation of Denis Johnston's play 'The Dreaming Dust', during filming on 24 March 1967. The actresses are Aideen O'Kelly as Stella/Pride (first left) and Sinéad Cusack as Girl. The actors are unidentified.
'The Dreaming Dust' was televised by RTÉ on 25 April 1967 as part of the celebrations marking the tercentenary of the birth of writer Jonathan Swift. Set in 1845 in Dublin's St Patrick's Cathedral, the action centres on actors who have just performed a masque and fall into a discussion about Swift. The RTÉ Guide of 21 April 1967 published a long article on the television and radio programmes marking the tercentenary.
