|Caption||'Dublin Suite' (1986)|
Children run across Reginald Street, Dublin city, during the recording of the RTÉ Television programme 'Dublin Suite' in May 1986. They are passing a shrine containing a statue of Christ. This was originally a fountain built circa 1900; the statue was added in 1929 to commemorate the centenary of Catholic emancipation.
'Dublin Suite' was a filmed setting of Robert Lamb's orchestral composition 'Dublin City Suite' directed by RTÉ cameraman Godfrey Graham. It featured the life of Dublin from morning until evening set to Lamb's music; some actors also participated. 'Dublin Suite' was first broadcast on RTÉ Television on 27 October 1986; the RTÉ Guide published a brief preview on 24 October 1986.
