| Description | Half-length portrait of American folk singer and collector Robin Roberts in May 1963. She is seated, playing an acoustic guitar and looking straight to camera. There is large backdrop photograph of the Four Courts in Dublin visible behind her. Roberts was in Ireland to appear on the folk/traditional music series 'Siulach Scealach' which was broadcast on 28 May 1963. Uilleann piper Seamus Ennis also appeared on this programme. A short article in the RTV Guide of 21 June 1963 gives more detail on this programme which was repeated on 28 June 1963. | |
