Description   Writer Christopher Nolan enjoys a picnic with his family, at Glendalough, County Wicklow in April 1981. Nolan suffers from cerebral palsy. From left to right; Yvonne Nolan (Christopher's sister, back to camera), Christopher Nolan, Bernadette Nolan (mother) and Joseph Nolan (father) This still was taken for use in, or publicising of, the BBC/RTÉ documentary 'A Writer in the Family', first broadcast on RTÉ Television on 24 July 1981. Nolan had just published his first book, entitled 'Dam-Burst of Dreams'. A brief RTÉ Guide article about the programme was published on 17 July 1981.
