The judges of the 2012 Francis MacManus Short Story Competition (previously known as the Francis MacManus Awards), photographed in May 2012. From left to right; RTÉ Radio 1 series producer Clíodhna Ní Anluain, writer and radio producer John MacKenna, Brendan Barrington, a senior editor at Penguin Ireland and editor of 'The Dublin Review', and writer and creative writing teacher at University College Dublin Éilis Ní Dhuibhne. The Francis MacManus Short Story Competition is run annually by RTÉ Radio 1. The 25 shortlisted entires for 2012 were read over a five-week period in the 'Book on One' slot on RTÉ Radio 1, starting from 18 June 2012; the series producer was Clíodhna Ní Anluain. The winner of the 2012 competition had been announced on 11 June. |
