Description |
A LUAS line under construction at Harcourt Street, Dublin on 17 October 2003. Central to shot is the old Harcourt Street train station (now the Odeon Bar). The LUAS line is being constructed directly in front of this. Various construction workers can be seen in this shot. LUAS (the Irish word for speed) is Dublin's new public transport tram system. It runs on two separate tramlines, the Green Line and the Red Line. The Green Line (which opened on 30 June 2004) connects Sandyford to St Stephen's Green in the city centre. The Red Line (which opened on 28 September 2004) connects Tallaght to Connolly Station. |
