Stravinsky was in Dublin to conduct a concert of his own works, held in St. Francis Xavier Hall, as part of the Radio Éireann Music Festival. Stravinsky is best known for his ballet scores 'The Firebird' (performed 1910) and 'The Rite of Spring' (1913).
